City of newton (MA) - Design guidelines

OVERVIEW

In 2011, following a national search, PDP was selected to prepare Design Guidelines for the City of Newton, Massachusetts. Newton, a suburb of Boston, was developed as a series of villages, each with a unique character varying from early industrial mill settlements, to commuter and affluent residential neighborhoods. PDP's Guidelines include a stand-alone section addressing the compatibility and opportunities of joining preservation and sustainability.
