Ilona Prodan

Ilona Prodan joined PDP in April 2022 as an architectural intern. She is currently enrolled in the intensive Architecture program at the Westphal College of Media Arts & Design at Drexel University and expects to graduate in the Spring of 2025. Ilona began her college work in Chicago at Harold Washington College, where her high achievements landed her in the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. In 2021 she transferred to Drexel's architectural program. While pursuing her bachelor’s degree in architecture, she has previously worked on residential and retail renovation projects. In an ongoing effort to gain an understanding of all areas of the architectural profession, she has been involved in community engagement and research into some of Philadelphia's historic neighborhoods, focusing on historical and cultural backgrounds.

Originally from Moldova, her interests in history and culture translate into her interest in historic architectural styles. She intends to pursue an architectural career in preservation and vernacular architecture. Currently, she is part of the design team working on the Kentucky State Capitol's Comprehensive Renovation. She is also involved in the condition assessment and renovations of the historic Amos House at Lincoln University. When she is not working or at school, she enjoys traveling and learning more about all Philadelphia has to offer.
