Jenny Wolfe

Jennifer Wolfe joined PDP in October 2021 as a Preservation Planning Specialist with fifteen years of professional experience in historic preservation. After earning a Master of Science in Architectural Studies degree specializing in historic preservation from the University of Florida she began working at the local government and non-profit levels. Her work as the Historic Preservation Officer for the Nation’s Oldest City in St. Augustine included development and administration of ten preservation grants during her year tenure totaling more than one million in grant funds the Florida Division of Historical Resources and the National Park Service. Achievements include implementation of a historic preservation master plan, updated architectural surveys covering the entire city, historic rehabilitation projects, archaeological data analysis and exhibit design, heritage tourism programs, national register nominations, incorporating geo-spatial data analysis and story-maps for public education, and directing research for climate change initiatives such as disaster mitigation and sea level rise.

Coinciding with her professional career, Jennifer increasingly attained leadership responsibilities within a statewide preservation non-profit. In 2014, she was appointed board member to the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation where she currently serves as President of the Board. The Florida Trust promotes the preservation and the inclusive sharing of the diverse architectural, historical and archaeological heritage of Florida through advocacy, connecting, education, and stewardship. Under her leadership, the Florida Trust has expanded outreach through a regional ambassador program, started a seed fund for the annual 11 -to-Save sites, produced multiple conferences and workshops, and is working toward a statewide preservation tax credit.

Working with PDP merges Jennifer’s professional and personal interests in cultural resource conservation. As a Preservation Planning Specialist her experience contributes to an understanding of planning and preservation challenges with policy initiatives that can be applied to any community where PDP is involved.
