borough of phoenixville (pA) design guidelines
OVERVIEW
Originally settled in 1732, the Borough of Phoenixville is located along the banks of the Schuylkill River, approximately 30 miles west of Philadelphia. In 2007, PDP was selected by the HARB to prepare Design Guidelines for the downtown commercial district, which represents the largest registered historic district in Chester County. Since the completion of the Guidelines, the Main Street Corridor has been revitalized.
